Consid expands its operations into Poland

The vibrant Polish tech market continues to attract international tech giants. Consid, a fast growing Swedish it- and communications company, is now entering the Warzaw tech market. The goal is to have a team of 50 employees by the end of the year.

“We hope to bring that entrepreneurial spirit we have established as a core piece of our corporate culture to Poland. Warsaw Is already a hub for skilled programmers and IT personnel. Our expansion into the Polish market is driven by an increased demand, as well as the opportunity to be a part of that booming tech hub”, says Peter Hellgren, CEO of Consid.

Since its accession to the EU in 2004, Poland has successfully upgraded its economy, making it one of the fastest-growing and most stable in Europe. Furthermore, Poland is currently experiencing remarkable growth in the ICT sector.

With around 60,000 technology companies and ten “unicorns,” Poland ranks fifth in the EU for the number of registered ICT companies, accounting for about 8 percent of all ICT companies in the EU. It is projected that the ICT market in Poland will reach and even exceed $13 billion by the end of 2025.

Amid the pandemic, there was a 60% increase in the number of sectors in the economy that adopted digital services. In the same period, Poland witnessed the emergence of around 3.6 million new “digital” clients.

Despite the economic effects of the war in Ukraine, Poland is still attracting an influx of foreign workers, including qualified IT specialists, which further bolsters its growing tech industry. As a result, Poland has become a thriving European ICT power and the largest exporter of ICT services in the continent.

Consid is the next IT company to join the already highly skilled and competitive Warsaw and Polish market. With a long and successful track record, and three already prosperous launches outside of its origin country Sweden, Consid looks to take range as one of the big players.

“This move is part of Consid’s strategic plan to become the IT leader in northern Europe”, says Peter Hellgren.

Consid has recently launched its operations in Warsaw, and under the leadership of Giovanni Spychalski, the General Director of Consid Poland, the company is already making significant progress in establishing its brand and attracting customers.

“We are experiencing rapid expansion in the Polish market. With a team of just five, we are up and running and making strides every day,” says Spychalski.

One of the key factors in a successful launch in Poland, according to Peter Hellgren, is the increase in public spending and interest in IT. Consid has a long history of working with large public contracts and points to this experience as playing a crucial role in the company’s start in Poland.

“It is a positive development for both Consid and Poland as a country that the government sees a bright future in tech, digitalization, and IT. With an already established pool of native programmers, the potential for growth is tremendous in this expanding economy,” he says.

Based on previous international investments and their market position, Consid is entering the Polish market with great momentum. Over the last two years, the company has been named the best employer in Sweden, with a stable annual growth of 30 percent since its inception in 2000. In 2022, Consid exceeded the 200 million EUR revenue mark, reaching 220 million EUR. Much of the success is driven by a strong employer brand, which already is getting rooted in the Polish IT communities.

“We have already had many conversations with the first .NET and Java programmers. When we opened our branch and announced that we were recruiting, we immediately received 300 applications. Now we have reached a level of 580. There is a lot of interest in Consid in Poland.”, says Giovanni Spychalski.
