Consid signs coveted contract with Norway's largest employer
Sweden’s leading IT and communications company, Consid, has in a short amount of time grown strong also in Norway. The company has now won a coveted contract with Norway’s largest employer, Oslo Municipality. The agreement extends over four years with a total value of NOK 650 million.
– It feels amazing that we have received this trust from Oslo Municipality, which shows Consid’s big potential here in Norway. We won the assignments in all the categories we applied for and look forward to taking Oslo municipality to new heights, says Steffen Breen, CEO of Consid Norway.
The contract with the municipality of Oslo refers to a range of consulting services in three areas, which really shows Consids’ broad competence. It includes test management and design, project management, and architecture. The agreement includes 15 different suppliers and has a total value of NOK 650 million for four years.
The answer to why they chose to give the assignment to Consid is primarily based on the company’s solid experience and that the company best matched Oslo municipality’s needs.
Consid got off to a great start when the company was established in Norway. The company employed around 20 people in just a few months and signed contracts with about 15 customers. Today, the team in Oslo has grown, and the company expects to recruit even more people to the team before the turn of the year.
– In a short time, we have built a strong team with broad competence here in Oslo. A further expansion to other cities in Norway is not far away if we continue at this pace, says Steffen Breen.

During the past six months, the entire company has signed agreements with many new customers and managed to keep up recruitment quickly. The figures for the third quarter of 2022 show that both turnover and profit increased dramatically. Turnover increased by 51.6 percent to SEK 454 million through organic growth. Thanks to a balance between customers in the public sector and prominent private players, demand for Consid’s services has increased steadily in recent years. During the first nine months of the year, Consid had a turnover of SEK 1.51 billion, to be compared with the full year 2021, where the turnover landed at SEK 1.53 billion.
At Consid in Oslo, there is competence in all IT services. Everything from experts in digital transformation, management, and app development to a larger unit of UXers, CRO/SEO experts, and Service Designers. There is also senior .NET developers and a larger group of test leaders and Java developers, who will play an essential role in the new agreement with Oslo municipality.
